I entered the motor trade at 14, I was a “Saturday boy” washing cars on the forecourt of my local main dealership. From there, I got work experience in sales, and as soon I was able to leave school and join the trade full time – I jumped at it! Outside of work, my fiancé and I enjoy going for walks with our dog and son Charlie. I started my working life in retail banking and fell into the motor finance business by chance! Over 20 years later and my background in the motor industry covers everything, which allows me to offer my dealers the best advice and service possible, as well as bridging the gap between sales and office politics. When I am not working, you will find me spending quality time with my family or out riding my motorbike. Having been car mad from a very young age, it was almost inevitable that I’d end up in the motor trade. From the initial chats through to the interviews at Connected, I knew this was where I wanted to be! The culture is enviable, everyone is so welcoming, and the team spirit is unmatched! Away from work, my family keeps me busy! Our weekends are time well spent at our outdoor favourite places making memories! I started working in the motor trade back in 2003 when power steering was becoming standard on cars! I joined Connected in 2018. I truly enjoy working closely with independent used car dealers, many of whom I’d call my friends, so I can happily say I have the best job I've ever had! Outside of work, I’m very active, taking my son to football, going to the gym, running, and working hard to keep my golf handicap high, but the most important thing to me is family and making sure my wife and children always have smiles on their faces. I started my career in the motor trade at my local main dealership as a trainee sales executive. After experiencing first-hand the help and support that main dealers get when it comes to finance packages and service, I was amazed to see what Connected had to offer for independent dealerships! Before starting in the motor trade I was in a band called The Mnemonics, I genuinely thought we were going to make it…..we didn’t! I started working for an independent dealership in 2015. My experience providing car finance and my passion for cars has led me to being part of the Connected family. Outside my professional life, I love staying active. Football, golf, and squash are my go-to activities for a good workout and healthy competition. Lately, I’ve been honing my culinary skills and experimenting with new recipes. I’m proud to say I’ve mastered the art of making perfect Yorkshire puddings, although my partner is sticking with Aunt Bessie’s. I have been in the motor industry for over 20 years. In 2020 I jumped at the opportunity to join the DSG Connected team, it’s a job that I’ve found to be immensely rewarding and enjoyable. I have a bulldog named Hank who goes everywhere with me, he’s my sidekick! I like participating in a wide variety of sports from running, cycling, 5-a-side football, as well as going to the gym. On a personal note, I’m married to Claire, and we have three sons and two Boston terriers. Having spent my whole automotive career working for a fantastic family-run dealership, starting as the tea boy and finishing my time with them in the position of sales manager, I decided it was time to take a huge step with a new challenge and along came DSG Connected. We enjoy lots of quality time together camping and visiting Disneyland Paris (I’ve been an obscene amount of times but it’s a family tradition!)
